Free online sheet music editor, no sign-up

Partitura is a score editor that runs right in your browser. Here is what is worth knowing before you start.

  • Online, nothing to install

Unlike MuseScore, Sibelius, Dorico and other desktop programs, there is nothing to download or install: it runs in the browser, on any computer.

  • No sign-up

There is no account to create and no login: open the page and start writing, unlike Noteflight or Flat.io.

  • As many scores as you like

You can keep several scores open at once, each in its own tab.

  • Saved in your browser

Everything is saved on your device as you write. Nothing is uploaded to any server. To keep or share a score, export it from the menu.

  • Free and ad-free

The site is free and has no advertising: no ads or trackers to distract you.

  • Built to be intuitive

We work hard to make the interface clear without explanations. Even so, the menu on the left has tutorials for every feature and a guide with all the keyboard shortcuts.

Partitura

Desktop only

Editing a score on a phone is very hard because of the small screen.

What you can do with the editor

  • Multiple voices

Write two or more voices on the same staff, each with its own rests.

  • Slurs across barlines

Select two notes, even in different measures, and slur them from the menu.

  • Triplets

Select three eighth notes and turn them into a triplet from the context menu.

  • Barre chords

Mark the barre on the tablature with its fret, from start to end.

  • Hairpins and dynamics

Crescendo and diminuendo between two dynamics, like p and f, over any notes.

  • Download your score

Export to PDF, MusicXML or MIDI to print it or open it in other apps.
